The Austin Bar Disaster Response Team is looking for volunteers for September 12 -16 to serve at our Austin Bar Legal Clinic in Bastrop. We need attorneys, legal assistants, legal administrators, receptionists, legal secretaries, and couriers (with cars).
We also need donations of life's necessities and gift cards that will go 100% to the people of Bastrop who need our help.
The Austin Bar Association is gathering items to be donated to the evacuees of the various Central Texas wildfires. Please call 512-472-0279 for more information.
General Supplies needed:
-Personal Hygiene items -Body wash and soap -Toothpaste and packaged toothbrushes -Paper Plates, cups, napkins, plastic utensils -Deodorant -Disposable razors and shaving cream -Diapers -Baby shampoo -Hand Sanitizer -Depends undergarments -heavy duty garbage bags -sandwich sized bags -bottled water -sodas -juice boxes -individually wrapped snacks -Gatorade -pocket-sized nuts -beef jerky -power bars -trail mix -dog and cat food -books/balls/games/toys for the children.
